Hello all;
Wow, what a fall it has been, as I sit in the warmth of our home, I am reflecting on so many blessings the Victoria Rhythmic Gymnastic Club has...lots of energetic and hard working gymnasts and coaches, parents full of support and patience, and great performances at the Circus weekend and this past weekend of Snowflake Gala and Competition.
The hours of training really do show, and seeing gymnasts who started in September performing in groups and individually, there is lots of improvement and technical skills that have been mastered. To watch a gymnast throw with her foot, and catch just after or during a walkover is a hugh mastery of the support, and the great thing is there is still so much more to learn...And just as inspirational is the youngest of children remembering their skills, enjoying the performance and the big smile on their face.
Thank you all for the fun it has been so far...and lots more to come with some more skills and strengths and events through the upcoming winter and spring, stay posted by checking out the calendar on the website www.victoriarg.com...there will be new photos posted on that website over the upcoming weeks along with information about our exciting opportunity to host 140 athletes at the Western Canadian Championships at Pacific Institute for Sport Excellence, by the Camosun Interurban campus, sure to be a great opportunity for gymnast to be inspired.
As for training, regular training finishes for the Christmas break on December 19, 2009 at 12:30 pm, and resumes on Monday January 4th. Enjoy your family and friends over the break
